‘Fully Automated Luxury Improvisation’
Jeff Surak has been a fixture within the experimental community for over 40 years, curating the Sonic Circuits Festival, programming for Rhizome DC, and running his own Zeromoon label. His own work manifests non-linear narratives through lo-fi techniques and archaic technologies. Recent festival appearances include Blurred Edges, Klanghaus, Jauna Muzika, Untergrün, Experimentik, Ende Tymes, Brutal Assault.
As Jeff describes his “Fully Automated Luxury Improvisation” – “It is a “pop” album. There are melodies and rhythms which repeat, which for me are basic requirements for a pop song. Repetition. But here everything is fragmented, skipping and skittering out of control but never falling apart.”
