Skiftjan is an old German word and has the roots of “change, transition, layering” in modern Norwegian, German, and English languages. It is about changes, both in the author’s personality specifically and humans in general throughout life and different circumstances, about being brave enough to accept reality as it is, regardless of the dramatic episodes that appear. This type of music has never been felt by the author before, war changed everything.
It is how it is.
