“Within Sacred Circles”
This is the third album from the collaborative project between Thorsten Soltau (Germany) and Max Kuiper (The Netherlands).
The project’s sound worlds are inspired by the Dark Ages in general, and more specifically by ‘The Book of Ysegrim’, also known as ‘Reynard the Fox’.
The collaboration now operates under the name Chanteclin ɛt Chantecler, representing two characters from that book.
This work can be thought of as a book, adventure, walk, abstract pilgrimage or mental process within the sound. The segments are categorised into pages, types of light, stages of various kinds, a poetic soundtrack of a fable, and a number of atmospheres and enigmas of locations.
